Responsible professional, technical, administrative and supervisory work involving Economic Development activities. Responsible for developing and implementing the Economic Development Plan for the City. Primary function is to increase and diversity the City’s economic base by targeting and attracting new businesses and assisting existing businesses in expansion. Provide coordination assistance for local businesses with respect to training, finances, marketing and incentives.

Provide administrative and technical services related to implementation of projects (development and redevelopment) providing an economic impact to the City. This includes projects located within the Downtown area, Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the West Side Redevelopment area. Also performs economic development, planning, marketing and research activities directed toward growing existing businesses, creating new employment opportunities and broadening the retail and commercial base. Represent the City with all aspects of the CRA including administrative services to the City to ensure consistency with Florida Statutes and the Agreement with Orange County. Responsibilities include managing key economic development projects and programs, developing and maintaining key economic development relationships and participating in marketing, research and strategic planning. This will include serving as a liaison between the City and The Chamber of Commerce, and the Business Community. In addition, maintain records for the various developments and public improvements in the Redevelopment Plans; assists in the development of design standards and standards for public improvements; provides for schedules to ensure the Plans are successful; communicates with the public about the status of the Plans and any of the developments and public improvements; assists in the negotiations and monitoring of development agreements for the Plans; and supervises Code Enforcement activities and permitting within the City. Ensures compliance with design standards for the various public and private improvements proposed for the Plans.

Contracted with the City as the Main Street Manager, I worked with a non-profit Main Street organization dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Palatka. My responsibilities included managing the activities of the volunteer Board of Directors and committees; developing the annual work plan and budget; creating and implementing a marketing plan and budget for the CRA which includes facilitating the creation of a new brand, coordinating and unifying the marketing of other stakeholder’s downtown events, developing and conducting 2 new monthly events; recruiting new businesses; facilitating the utilization of a Façade Grant and Business Improvement Grant for new and existing merchants and property owners to enhance their businesses and properties; planning for the future growth and needs of the downtown.

is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the revitalization of N. Orange Avenue and the surrounding neighborhoods near Downtown Orlando. My responsibilities included managing the activities of this new organization and the organization's volunteer Board of Directors and committees. This included establishing an annual work plan; advocating on behalf of the district in areas such as preservation of parking and code issues; recruiting new businesses and marketing vacancies; working with existing merchants and property owners to enhance their businesses and properties; planning for the future growth and needs of the commercial district; developing and conducting events; bringing together the stake holders and creating a sense of community in this urban district.

Lead the public process and created a Vision plan for downtown Groveland; purchased parcels in blighted area for redevelopment project; coordinated SR 50 FDOT landscape enhancement grant project; developed Streetscape Master Plan for downtown, including a new town square; developed and administered façade grant program; developed overlay district and design standards for new construction in the downtown, reviewed all plans for development in the CRA. Coordinated with other City staff on projects in the CRA; prepared CRA annual budget; and negotiated contracts on land purchases.

Eustis Main Street is a 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Eustis. My responsibilities included managing the activities of the volunteer Board of Directors and committees; developing and conducting 2 monthly and 4 annual events, including First Friday Street Fest and Light Up Eustis; recruiting new businesses; working with existing merchants and property owners to enhance their businesses and properties; planning for the future growth and needs of the downtown; bringing together property owners, merchants, citizens, the CRA, City Commission, City staff, Chamber of Commerce, and other interests at stake to work toward a common goal.

Known as Skyline Teleproductions to our clients, the production department of the TV station was a full service department with remote production gear, 2 studios, 2 video edit suites and an audio edit suite. I produced, directed and edited commercials, infomercials, corporate training videos, telethons and a variety of projects that clients would bring to us.
