Recruit, train, and manage a core team of 20 volunteers and canvassers to effectively communicate with over 15,000 voters —calling more than 80,000 phones and walking over 400 precincts in San Francisco and San Mateo county. Execute a grassroots voter outreach plan to collect 3,851 valid voters’ signatures in lieu of the filing fee to get on the ballot — nearly 600 more than our opponent who received the second most and well beyond the 3,000 needed to qualify.Coalesce progressive candidates running for school and college board in order to mobilize our collective supporters and walk 150 precincts in one day. We successfully mobilized our supporters twice to achieve this goal — once after absentee ballots were mailed and also the weekend before Election Day.Organize joint voter outreach mobilizations with local chartered democratic clubs and labor unions in San Francisco Supervisorial Districts 1, 4, 5, 6, and 8. Organize joint voter outreach mobilizations with San Francisco Supervisorial candidates in Districts 1 and 9 and Daly City City Council candidates — all of whom won their respective races.Spearhead outreach efforts for our first policy town hall by activating endorsers, devising and implementing a street outreach plan, and executing a phone-bank plan which produced over 1,000 attendees. Analyze campaign data and research (then implement) new voter outreach tools to maximize our canvassing efforts — this includes managing our online power-dialing system, a canvassing app, and a mass e-messaging tool that merged personal contacts with the master voter file.Manage the voter database system in order to keep track of metrics and assess whether our campaign goals were being met.Create and manage a comprehensive campaign fellowship program which included political research, fundraising assistance, scheduling, event staffing, and voter engagement. ASPIRE Program: Increase awareness and support on immigration issues in the Asian/Pacific Islander community. Direct community outreach efforts in order to recruit 20 new members.Initiate the creation of a Los Angeles chapter of our youth program and coordinate the very first Statewide Strategic Planning Retreat to strategize for immigration reform on the local, statewide, and federal level.Plan local efforts to achieve comprehensive immigration reform and the DREAM Act in 2010 — the latter bill falling four votes shy of passing in the U.S. Senate.Chair the local effort in support of the California DREAM Act. Organize API immigrant youth and lobby local and state legislators in support of these bills which allow undocumented immigrants in California access to private and state-funded financial aid. These bills were passed into law as Assembly Bills 130 and 131 and I was among the first beneficiaries in 2013.Build local and statewide coalitions of immigrants’ rights organizations in order to successfully advocate for Deferred Action and the Domestic Worker Bill of Rights, AB 241. Organize and speak at over 30 rallies, workshops, conferences, and lobby visits. Facilitate bi-monthly membership meetings and provide leadership training and political education for Asian and Pacific Islander immigrant youth.
