As the leader of the back-end development team, played an integral role in helping with the company's transition from its print-centric portfolio and workflows to its now predominately digital offerings. Worked closely with business leaders and marketers to identify opportunities to generate revenue and build value through their digital products.Managed and coded alongside a staff of three on the construction and maintenance of over 40 websites. In addition, guided the team in the development a wide variety of other software solutions, including online directories, job boards, lead generation tools, other data collection/analysis/reporting tools, and mobile applications.Planned, designed and built the v1.0 release of a proprietary content management system, tailored specifically to the needs of the editorial and marketing teams, which powered dozens of content and event sites. Guided and worked with the development team on subsequent releases to build out new modular functionality, including e-commerce, surveys, polls, and integration with the K4 publishing platform. Provided training and support for the editorial and marketing staff.Coordinated on an on-going basis with numerous on-site freelancers and outside contractors and vendors on special projects to define specifications, QA deliverables, and facilitate deployment. Also worked closely with a variety of vendors, such as Lyris/EmailLabs, Omeda, JobTarget, eTouches, TalkPoint, and iLand, who provided hosting, email and list management, subscription fulfillment, job boards, webinar hosting, and event registration.Collaborated with print production staff on processes and workflows to take legacy print data and repurpose for the web, as well as well as extraction of web-collected data to repurpose for print editions.Was a contributing member of several high-level task forces charged with forging digital strategies and identifying new technologies and software platforms for the enterprise.

Designed, built and maintain this web application and native iOS app which currently serves an audience of 10,000+ musicians worldwide. The application provides players of stringed-instruments a simple and intuitive way to create simple lead-sheets for their music, start groups for sharing their music, and communicate with other players. In addition to ongoing product/feature development and code refactoring, I am actively involved in audience development and marketing.

Worked with two partners in a small startup environment to shape the vision and direction of the iPhone/iPad app PixStori. This app allows users to add voice narration and other audio to photos for the purpose of enhanced storytelling. Users can then share their stories by way of email, social media, and also a link to a hosted version on the PixStori.com website.Sole responsibility for development for the app and APIs, R&D and implementation of third-party technologies, and vetting and managing contractors who contributed to specific components of the product’s ecosystem.http://www.pixstori.com
