Contracted to Alexion AstraZeneca Rare Disease in New Haven, CT to perform the following:• Scanning and counting inventory within customer's ULS (Unity Labs Services) point of use (POU) areas/kiosks daily. • Trained in SIMS programing to add, delete and order products needed for the site’s day to day resources and maintenance of acceptable inventory levels.• Receiving, organizing, and/or CISPro registering products of the designated POU’s set in various locations throughout the customer site.• Receiving, documenting, and/or CISPro registering incoming packages for end-users. Delivering packages to designated primary drop off areas and/or secondary temperature/condition-controlled locations. Maintaining correspondence with end-users to confirm receipt and arrival of packages, track active and/or delayed deliveries, and field general inquiries or requests.• Assisting with glass washing & autoclaving duties for customer site(s). • Assisting in the setup and maintenance of Waters Acquity UPLC & 2767 HPLC systems, including: wash/solution prep; sample disposal; and running general maintenance program routines as needed.• Disposing of single stream recyclables.• Weekly liquid nitrogen fill of Bruker NMR instrument.

Performed nucleic acid extractions on nasal, nasopharyngeal, and oropharyngeal samples, utilizing a Perkin Elmer Janus G3 workstation and Chemagic 360 instrument, in preparation of SARS-CoV-2 testing.

• Utilized personal vehicle to deliver medications and medical paraphernalia to hospice patients, nursing home residents and/or personnel, and residential customers along multiple, random routes generated daily throughout Connecticut• Occasionally I would assume a supervisory role of the delivery service, whose duties included:◦ Sorting of incoming orders into groups based upon location, patient info, and urgency; with subsequent logging of said orders into a Google Sheets “master list” whose data included date, facility/hospice code, town, patient name, prescription #’s, designated delivery driver, driver departure time, and misc. instructions or order notes.◦ Generating routes based upon said order groups with regards to urgency, driver availability, established deadlines, and what was currently on hand. Routes were created primarily via Dashfly and/or Google Maps, and optimized for mileage and/or time.◦ Distributing materials and itineraries to scheduled drivers throughout the day◦ Coordinating and communicating with pharmacists, various pharmacy personnel, drivers in the field, personnel of outside facilities, or customers/patients regarding upcoming orders, current order statuses and/or discrepancies.

Retrieved packages from incoming delivery trucks via conveyor belts; placed them on designated shipping pallets according to label info; plastic wrapped sufficiently built-up pallets; and transported wrapped pallets via pallet jack to designated area(s) for outside distribution.

Transport clients from one destination to another. Conduct vehicle maintenance checks regularly. Use navigation apps to determine the optimal route for each client. Interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner. Pick up and drop off clients in a punctual and reliable fashion.

Worked with research assistants in tick testing lab, and contributed to the duties of daily operation including: Microscopic characterization of incoming ticks [species, sex, engorgement status] which determined if a particular tick was to be tested for Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and babesiosis respectively. Documentation of received ticks using individual accession numbers, physical characteristics, sender info, and testing statuses via written logbooks and Access database input. Extraction of tick DNA via standard DNAzol protocol. Agarose gel electrophoresis of PCR’d tick DNA against known positive controls to ascertain if a tick carried specific pathogens. Coalescing tick testing results with other pertinent information into reports for the authorities and/or individuals sending the ticks to determine a further course of action for those bitten.
