I have more than 25 years of experience providing insurance and risk management services to businesses, with a special focus on public entity, non for profit and human services in the Chicagoland area. I serve as a trusted advisor and risk management consultant with proven expertise in creating meaningful and measurable results through the implementation of client-centric sustainable insurance programs. I’m passionate about sustaining Chicago’s business community and its economy, along with supporting the entrepreneurial spirit of startup and small businesses, including diverse minority-owned businesses. To support the Chicago business community, I’m active on many boards and serve as the Vice Chair of World Business Chicago and Executive Chairman of Business Leadership Council. Through these organizations, I focus on the economic development of Chicago while forging partnership and cultivating opportunities to hire and inspire people from the black community. Additionally I’m is the Finance Chair of the Democratic Party of Illinois and sit on the Board of Trustees at the Shedd Aquarium and the Executives’ Club Board of Directors. I’m an entrepreneur at heart. Founder of my own company, I started and ran my own insurance brokerage for 15 years, helping organizations manage their risk. I am the founder of CS Insurance Strategies, a Marsh McLennan Agency LLC company, who provides employee health and benefits, business insurance and risk management consulting to organizations across the country. Previously, I excelled in various roles for large national insurance carriers and brokers. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters of Science degree in Public Service from DePaul University.
