About Charles Spalding

Currently I am a data science fellow at General Assembly developing modeling skills and connecting my education to the qualitative business problems that many industries are facing. My modeling skills are based in sklearn which is specific to Python. A short term personal goal is to apply my education onto languages and frameworks such as R, Tensorflow, Tableau, and SAP.Further background:While at Beloit College, I created a neuroscience club and managed it as president since its creation. I lead as head of committees for various clubs which taught me to delegation and communication between teams. Once moving to Chicago in May 2017, I worked at Furious Spoon as a server which shortly lead to being approached to open up a new location and train all new staff. I moved onto a position with a mortgage lender with an excellent opportunity for growth. I transitioned into a Government Insuring Specialist role that allowed me to pursue my outside interests.
