Assistant Instructional ProfessorTexas A&M University Aug 2018 - Jul 2023College Station, Tx, UsI am integral in designing rubrics and a holistic view of the curriculum by identifying student needs, diagnosing incongruent teaching methods throughout the curriculum, and facilitating course updates. I also coach and mentor over 500 undergraduate students in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M while prioritizing time effectively to be responsible for three courses/term (To date: 12 different courses). Besides being instrumental in restructuring four different courses to best serve student needs, I am responsible for directing 4 Teaching Assistants across four different courses, 8 graders across different courses, and 10 instructional service students. -
Graduate Teaching ConsultantTexas A&M University Jun 2015 - May 2018College Station, Tx, UsI collaborated with the administration to reframe the "Communication" module. I was also integral in motivating over 100 new teaching assistants at Texas A&M University, offering them best practices and giving resources. Furthermore, I oversaw the "onboarding" process for teaching assistants, resolving concerns and worries. -
Project Manger/Ph.D. ResearchTexas A&M University Sep 2014 - May 2018College Station, Tx, UsI was instrumental in critically summarizing literature surrounding fused deposition modeling of bioinks for 3D printing. Apart from designing the rheology protocol to describe 3D printing, I showcased the protocol's use to determine potential new bio-ink viability. I carried out mechanical, chemical, and biological testing on nanocomposite PEG-based formulations under Dr. Akhilesh Gaharwar within the Department of Biomedical Engineering, resulting in a dissertation: “Nanoengineered Biomaterials for Cell and Therapeutic Delivery." I also organized data collection and testing to verify that material was meeting set standards and employed proper ISO 10993 testing protocols. Additionally, I orchestrated three independent projects while directing over 20 undergraduate students and oversaw the acquisition of a new DHR -2 rheometer (over $250k purchase). -
Lab Safety ManagerTexas A&M University Aug 2014 - May 2018College Station, Tx, UsI managed over 50 researchers on biosafety and hazard awareness while passing all EHS laboratory safety inspections without any safety incidents or injuries, introducing the SOP database and equipment tracks plans. -
