I was instrumental in critically summarizing literature surrounding fused deposition modeling of bioinks for 3D printing. Apart from designing the rheology protocol to describe 3D printing, I showcased the protocol's use to determine potential new bio-ink viability. I carried out mechanical, chemical, and biological testing on nanocomposite PEG-based formulations under Dr. Akhilesh Gaharwar within the Department of Biomedical Engineering, resulting in a dissertation: “Nanoengineered Biomaterials for Cell and Therapeutic Delivery." I also organized data collection and testing to verify that material was meeting set standards and employed proper ISO 10993 testing protocols. Additionally, I orchestrated three independent projects while directing over 20 undergraduate students and oversaw the acquisition of a new DHR -2 rheometer (over $250k purchase).
