Responsible for the health, welfare, development and effectiveness of 19 pilots and 23 maintainers. Plans and executes unit annual training to ensure combat readiness. Supervises safety program concerning all flight, maintenance, and operational procedures, identifying and supervising mitigation strategies to reduce inherent risk. Supervises unit maintenance program to ensure 10 UH60s and associated equipment in excess of $160 million is maintained at the highest state logistical constraints allow. Maintains personal proficiency as Pilot in Command and Air mission Commander.

Brigade Aviation Officer 07/2013 – 03/20153d Cavalry Regiment Ft. Hood TexasPlan, coordinate, and synchronize aviation operations for a two thousand man Infantry Brigade forward deployed to Afghanistan. Establish and maintain systems for vetting and prioritizing request for attack, lift and Medevac aviation missions. Maintains digital and analog communications and aircraft tracking systems. Prepares and routs reports in accordance with established reporting guidance. Redirects assets to respond to emergencies. Controls information into and out of operations center during emergency response and crisis management. Additionally assigned as Battalion Training officer responsible for recommending battalion mission statement and training focus areas, generates training courses of action based on approved training focus and methodology. Maintains personal proficiency as Pilot in Command and Air mission Commander.

Responsible for the health, welfare, development and effectiveness of 12 pilots and 11 maintainers. Prepares and executes unit annual training plan to ensure combat readiness. Supervises flight standardization program to ensue aircrews are trained in accordance with Army regulations and unit policy. Supervises unit maintenance program to ensure 6 UH60s and associated equipment in excess of $35 million is maintained at the highest state logistical constraints allow. Maintains personal proficiency as fully mission qualified pilot and Air mission Commander.

Fire Team Leader 03/2003 – 06/2004 173rd Airborne BrigadeResponsible for the health, welfare, development and effectiveness of a 4 man team in an Infantry Platoon forward deployed to Iraq. First line supervisor of Infantry Soldiers responsible for individual skill training and team and squad maneuver training. Ensures team is prepared at all times to support platoon and squad missions. Ensures team receives monthly and event based performance feedback. Validates Soldier pay and coordinates administrative support as necessary.
