I joined in the infancy of the business and began building relationships with Chinese merchants and organizing product information. A test website was 1st launched called WorldMegaMarket. From this, it was decided that World Supermarket would also sell UK retail products too and my role was to lead this. I set up a team and recruited 1000’s of UK Merchants in a number of ways. I needed to achieve targets and fill the desired categories chosen. I was very much then involved in the further build and development of World Supermarket to better the platform for everyone involved. World Supermarket was an online e-Commerce marketplace that sold both retail and wholesale products that was free to join but charged a one-off final sale fee. Wholesale prices were hidden to the general public and each merchant was given a shop as well as a fully functional back-end dashboard to manage products, check stats, and sales.
