I love learning new things every day. Throughout my seven years in the Navy, I have had the pleasure of not only being challenged to continually dive head first into difficult issues related to cyber security, but pushed to become a leader among my peers that strives to lead from the front and always take care of the people around me. Along the way, I have had the great fortune to get to work alongside some of the most technically impressive people in the world; those who operate every day the utmost integrity and professionalism.The military has provided me so many opportunities for growth, (as well as the world's greatest partner) for which I will always be grateful, but I recognize that my interests exceed far beyond the uniform. I want to be able to take the skills that I've acquired while serving, and use them to impact the causes that I care most about. I wish to move this world in whatever way I can, educating myself and those around me, and connecting people together in a more compassionate way.I take great pride in my emotional intelligence, and especially my ability to take complex ideas and break them down in a way that both myself and my audience can readily understand. In this way, I am not only an effective communicator, but a passionate instructor, a trusted teammate, and someone that can see the big picture whilst also appreciating the work being done at ground level to make a goal into a reality.Although I'm proud of my education and the technical certifications that I have achieved, I recognize that technology and the field of cybersecurity is one of the most agile on the planet.
