Thirty years of education, training and service in the fields of public planning, environmental and emergency management, public works and recreation. From the writing of the CETA Special Projects grant to turn a part-time volunteer recycling club into a full-time staffed recycling business that I managed for two years from 1976-77. I concentrate on practical sustainable solutions to the problems facing our client communities. I am most proud of include my contributions in research, writing and the public hearing process involved in adoption of the first Comprehensive Land Use Plan for Pinellas County 1979-80; and my participation in helping develop the Pinellas County Central Permitting Process in 1981. One of the two member Site Plan Review Staff to insure concurrence for all public works, commercial, residential and industrial projects in the county during the development boom during the 1980's. An Emergency Response and Evaluation team member during Hurricane Elena in 1985 provided invaluable lessons in problem solving. As one of two Environmental Design Coordinators that assisted the Public Works Staff, I participated in mitigating the impact of public improvements on the existing environment, and was involved in large public construction projects from conception through design and permitting to mitigation training. Later projects involved construction management, impact analysis and mitigation monitoring, from public works projects, rural agricultural coop resource management to Utility Industry EPA Clean Air Projects, Wildfire Management, Radiological Response Emergency Haz-Mat Operations and the FEMA Deepwater Horizon Response. My goal is to use my years of education, training and experience to help solve the current and future problems facing the public and private sector clients.Specialties: Practical problem solving for environmental/ emergency management, research, development, permitting, and public information diffusion.
