Strike Fighter Squadron 106 (VFA-106)Aviation Electrician Shop Supervisor - I managed Aviation Technicians in the quality and timely maintenance and repair cycles of 67 F/A-18 A-C Legacy Hornet aircraft. As the supervisor of in the largest fleet replenishment squadron in the world, I learned effective time management quickly. In addition to normal maintenance and flight schedule duties, it was my responsibility to foster team building and help junior Sailors achieve their personal and professional goals through mentorship. I ensured the sailors that worked for me were recognized for their hard work and dedication to the mission by submitting them for rewards regularly, resulting in 18 Sailor of the Month’s, 2 Sailor of the Quarters, and 1 immediate command advancement from E-5 to E-6. I was selected to manage two important aviation programs by superiors and also coordinated 12 other. I took great pride in this additional responsibility and received grades of “on-track” by both command-level auditors and Wing-level inspectors.Quality Assurance Representative - My keen attention to detail was key in the submission and implementation of numerous process improvements and alterations, geared at increasing safety, component viability and maintenance efficiency.

Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron Fifteen (HM-15)AMCM Avionics Supervisor - I led technicians in the timely and quality maintenance repair cycles and troubleshooting of 7 Airborne Mine Countermeasure weapons systems in conjunction with the MH-53E helicopter. The AMCM community was unique in the aviation community and had many challenges in regards of publication accuracy and effectiveness. I took pride in identifying short comings in the pubs and worked diligently in coming up with a solution. These challenges nurtured my resourcefulness in terms of thinking outside the box and taught me how to effectively communicate with numerous audiences simultaneously.

FedEx Ground Hub, Independence, KYLead Package Handler - As a LPH, I was tasked with managing personnel in the unloading, sortation, and loading of packages. The fast paced environment taught me how to be quick on my feet and approach any issue with precision and poise. As a strong leader, it was my responsibility to keep my area members productive and content, even in times of increased work flow. Switcher - I operated a $150,000 Yard Truck (switcher) to facilitate the removal and refill of trailers to the dock. Switchers require to be masters at multitasking; often, we would get backed up with calls for trailer moves. I was tedious and used a common sense approach to maximize time by learning how to properly prioritize and use time effective time management.

FedEx Ground Hub, Columbus, OHPackage Handler - I was responsible for unloading, manual sorting and loading trailers. Ultimately, my primary position was a lead in the sortation primaries, where we manually sorted packages according to zip code to five different belts. This is where I first learned how to tackle a fast paced workload, at any given time we could be sorting 35,000+ packages per hour. I effectively communicated manpower issues and moved personnel according to the work flow of the sortation areas. I was commonly sought out to run any number of the sortation areas because of my relentless work ethic and operational intelligence.
