Strike Fighter Squadron 106 (VFA-106)Aviation Electrician Shop Supervisor - I managed Aviation Technicians in the quality and timely maintenance and repair cycles of 67 F/A-18 A-C Legacy Hornet aircraft. As the supervisor of in the largest fleet replenishment squadron in the world, I learned effective time management quickly. In addition to normal maintenance and flight schedule duties, it was my responsibility to foster team building and help junior Sailors achieve their personal and professional goals through mentorship. I ensured the sailors that worked for me were recognized for their hard work and dedication to the mission by submitting them for rewards regularly, resulting in 18 Sailor of the Month’s, 2 Sailor of the Quarters, and 1 immediate command advancement from E-5 to E-6. I was selected to manage two important aviation programs by superiors and also coordinated 12 other. I took great pride in this additional responsibility and received grades of “on-track” by both command-level auditors and Wing-level inspectors.Quality Assurance Representative - My keen attention to detail was key in the submission and implementation of numerous process improvements and alterations, geared at increasing safety, component viability and maintenance efficiency.
