As revitalization pastor of this urban, inner-city I lead a ministry that impacts our community in various ways, in order to reach our goals to be a diverse body of Christ. This includes our Spanish speaking ministry, our work in the area of education and rescue of individuals trapped in human trafficking, working to help at risk women and children, and our leading the Night to Shine KC - a prom for people with Special Needs. We are committed to mentoring young people to become tomorrow's leaders.

Abiding Health Consulting is a ministry to help churches become and stay healthy. We are here to provide help to pastors and congregation who have a good church they want to make great. We are able to provide serious help to churches that are in crises or in decline.Here is just some of what Abiding Health Consulting does:• Assist the local church in doing a series of internal assessments looking at how well they are doing in meeting their goals, the five purposes, leadership and overall spiritual health.• Assess the church’s impact in the community to include their outreach capability and the community’s impression of the church. We are assessing the church’s ability to grow and their reputation in the community. • We work with the church to define goals based upon our data and analysis that will encourage greater church health.• Provide teaching, workshops, leadership development, and seminars to help pastors and local congregations develop strategic goals and grow health bodies of Christ.• Catalytic / Transitional Pastor. I work with homeless men and men coming out of prison become devoted followers of Christ as they discover the newest of life.

For the past 15 years I have worked off and on as a bi-vocational minister. While pastoring and working with churches I have also worked in hospitals as a Cardiac Monitor Tech. This job involves:• Primary role is to watch up to 24 patients on cardiac monitors looking for lethal dysrhythmia or changes in the patients baseline rhythm. Advising the Nurse of changes or calling a “Code Blue” as appropriate. • While answering all incoming calls and covering the hospital operator during off hours. • While directing family and visitors in the ICU.• Helping where possible as part of the ICU nursing team. • Preceptor / Training all new Monitor Techs. Teaching student nurses basic electrocardiology. • Admitting patients after hours.• Keep unit statistical data and reports for ICU and telemetry usage and appropriateness.

Risen King Community Church is an Elder lead body of Christ. I served as an Elder of the church working with the other Elders in directing the administrative affairs, co-shepherding the flock, praying for the Body, while encouraging the other staff and elders. Outreach / Discipleship Pastor 2004 - 2005• Oversee church wide outreach ministry including • Directing Church Bus ministry.• Coordinate Evangelism training.• Direct church Discipleship, Sunday Schools, starting new units, training teachers, working with curriculum. Associate Pastor 2005 – 2009All of these duties are in addition to those listed above. • Organize, oversee weekly church services.• Review, correct, and repair church finical accounts in preparation for an audit. I came onboard early to make sure the unit was ready to go. The roles involved:• Answering all incoming calls, directing calls to nurses, doctors, as ancillary staff. Placing consult calls for all staff. • While directing family and visitors in the unit.• Admitting all patients to the unit.• Coordinate with the Dialysis Unit.• Order supplies for the unit.• Identifying nephrology patients in the hospital and coordinate moving them to the Nephro. unit.• While transcribing Physician’s orders and placing the orders into Powerchart. Coordinating with other departments for procedures and test.• Super user for Powerchart.• Preceptor / Training all new UC/MTs.

As a church planter I was tasked with the work of starting a new church within the working poor segment of Sparks Nevada. At the time, Washoe County Nevada was the most unchurched population in the United States.
