I led the company to develop an FDA breakthrough medical technology that was named a 100 Best Invention by TIME Magazine and is now deployed in medical devices around the world helping patients.Prior to that, I cofounded IQ Engines (acquired by Yahoo! / Flickr), which now powers AI/deep learning-based visual analytics across all Yahoo! properties. IQ Engines created photo album organization solutions and image understanding technologies.In my scientific work, I was privileged to work with colleagues on early hierarchical neural networks beginning in the early '00s.
