Responsible for the initiation and the delivery planning phase of a 3 year program of work to uplift the capability of the Podium Platform. The Podium platform is a sales tool utilised by NAB as well non-NAB aligned mortgage brokers. It combines Salesforce as the CRM system with internally built software to provide the mortgage brokers with the following capabilities:- Multiple product search, - sales and simulation tools, - electronic loan lodgement, - management of commissions paid- And comprehensive reporting capabilities. My key achievements so far include:- Management of the business case phase of the Podium program of work.- Successfully presenting at the NAB group investment committee to secure funding for the program of work - Building a solid relationship with the project sponsor, as well as the CEOs of the mortgage aggregator businesses owned by NAB.- Shaping the delivery phase of the program of work.- Management of the relationship with external vendors (Salesforce.com, Marketing Cloud, and SEMA) to ensure that NAB is receiving the best outcome.- Securing the internal and external resources required to shape and deliver the program.- Successfully rescuing a troubled project that missed 2 deployment dates (a delay of 6 month). This project will deliver a large revenue uplift to NAB. - Overseeing the health of BAU projects run by the Broker Partnerships business unit.- Hiring, management and people leadership of direct reports with various skills and experience.

Responsible for the leadership and coordination of business and technology resources required to implement and deliver a number of strategic projects for the Business Bank business units. Portfolio size is approximately $40M with 14 direct reports, varying from program managers to portfolio analysts, and approximately 150 indirect reports made up of internal NAB resources and external vendor resources (both in Australia and overseas).My responsibilities included, but were not limited to:- Management of relationships with project sponsors, at GM and EGM levels- Shaping new programs of work. - Ensuring all initiatives are aligned to organisational strategy and values- Ensuring that the agreed costs and benefits are achieved- Overseeing the health of all projects in the portfolio by performing regular reviews.- Hiring, management and people leadership of direct reports with various skills and experience- Management of the relationship with external vendors and service providers to ensure that NAB is receiving the best outcome. - Overseeing the preparation of all funding submissions to the investment committee- As a member of the Enterprise Projects and Change senior leaders group I am involved in the management and continual improvement of the business including the establishment, build, and rollout of a new Target Operating Model and underlying capabilities- As a member of the extended technology leadership team I share in the management and continual improvement of the relationship between the business stakeholders and the various technology asset teams to ensure an effective and efficient project and program delivery.

Responsible for the management of 3 key business banking projects with a total value of ~$12 million. The three projects are:1. Business banking portfolio reporting:This project achieved the following:o Enhance the eFolio application which is a web based application used by the Business Bank bankers to monitor their sales vs their targets o Remedy data quality issues identified by the data quality team within the business banko Automate the incentive calculation engine 2. Medfin Basel II/Risk Weighted Assets project:The aim of this project is to achieve Basel II advanced accreditation for Medfin (which is a subsidiary of NAB). The successful completion of this project will realise a release of ~$20M in capital.3. Agri Risk Weighted Assets (RWA):The aim of this project is to fine tune the credit scoring model used for the agriculture sector of Business Banking to better suit the nature of the sector. My key responsibilities are:• Work closely with the business sponsor and the business project manager to define the requirements, and to create a business case to present at the investment subcommittee to secure funding for this project• Establish the project costs and schedule• Establish the technology project team to design and build the required solution• Manage the various other aspects of project management (eg: risk and issues, stakeholder management...).

Responsible for the management of 2 key Personal Banking projects with a total value of ~ $16M.The two projects are:1) Personal Property Securities Register Law Reform projectThe main goal of the project is to assess the impact of the new security register law reform on the day to day operations of the NAB and to enhance impacted systems to allow a seamless interface to the new government register.Estimated project value was ~ $10 Million. Main Responsibilities:• Work closely with the various business units to complete a business case and to gather the business requirements.• Work closely with the various technology teams to provide a whole of life cost estimate for the project.• Establish the business and technology project teams.• Actively manage the project teams to deliver the required solution on time and budget.2) Consumer Car Finance projectThe main goal of the project was to introduce a new consumer car finance product to the Australian market. Total budget for project was ~ $6M.This project was an in-flight project. My involvement in this project commenced at the start of the detailed design phase. Main Responsibilities:• Work closely with the business unit to clarify the project requirements and scope• Engage the various technology asset teams to assess the cost of the project as well as to secure the required resources to deliver the project• Construct and socialise the project cost and schedule with the project sponsor and the relevant governance forum to secure funding.This project was put on hold by the sponsor at the end of the detailed design phase due to:- The impact of the global financial crisis on the consumer car market.- An increase in costs due to the introduction of new scope that was missed during the requirements phase of the project and was deemed important for the successful introduction of the product to the consumer market .- A reduction in the year 1 benefits as specified in the business case.

Responsible for the management of the back and middle office transformation project. The main goal of the project is to replace Vanguard’s back and middle office system with an off the shelf system as well as to restructure and streamline the back and middle office day to day processes.Total budget for the project is ~ $20 Million. This project is staffed by a total of ~45 crew members. Achievements:• Established a regular forum with the programme stakeholders to gain their approval for the various critical project decisions as well as to keep them up to date with the project status.• Established the Back and Middle Office Project Reporting Group to keep senior business managers updated with the status of the project. • Led the process to streamline the data migration activities which reduced the time taken to migrate the data from the existing Vanguard system to the new system by 24 hours. As a result of this new process the project is no longer dependant on a long weekend for go live. This will save Vanguard a considerable amount of time and expense.• Restructured the project’s testing team and introduced standard testing processes. This resulted in a very structured and efficient team with a clear objective and processes to follow.• Initiated weekly one on one meetings with all the project’s key stakeholders (business line managers) to keep them up to date with the project status and to enable me to get the views of the crew members impacted by the change. • Managed the project’s schedule and finances and made sure that they were aligned with the programme’s goals and objectives.• Refined and managed the reporting process used for the project. This included status reports, risk and issues, and change requests.
