The Marine Mammal Center provides triage and long-term vet care for injured and malnourished seals, sea lions, and sea otters. As a volunteer, my job is to provide basic care and help vets give our patients the treatment they need. Once our animals have recovered we release them back into the wild.

We offer our participants an opportunity to learn how to surf or even just come out into the ocean with us to experience its therapeutic effects. I am responsible for collaborating with health communication professionals to plan, shoot, and edit projects. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I was given the opportunity to collaborate with Cal Poly's Vice President's office to assist with the university's Covid Response Plan. During my time working at CHW, we have seen a 500% increase in video views on our social media platforms.
