* Manage all Supplier Quality activities at DE Smart Meter sites with focus on approval, qualification, continuous improvement, and issue resolution activities.* Establish structured approach to identify and improve quality assurance gaps at both sites related to GEE Global Sourcing quality processes and procedures.* Drive all SQE-related activities within NPI process. Engage NPI team early and often to understand design intent and technical requirements and to ensure SQE NPI deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.* Establish program to identify, monitor, and improve supplier process capabilities for identified CTQs/CTPs to include conducting regular design and drawing reviews with GE and supplier engineering teams.* Provide technical guidance to suppliers in order to ensure product/process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications. * Work closely with internal GE stakeholders such as Sourcing, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering as well as with external stakeholders to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and delivery requirements.* Assume leadership role within DE team when it comes to improving overall supplier quality and driving initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.* Establish and drive supplier qualification and surveillance strategy for DE Smart Meter suppliers based on buy volume, defect history, single/sole source suppliers, and NPI programs and ensure strategy is directly aligned with business priorities/needs.* Establish and drive key ES Supplier Quality initiatives across Electronic suppliers to include Supplier Dashboards (PQ% & DPMO), Cost of Quality & Supplier Recovery, DMP, GB, SDR, and RCA/CA activities.* Establish and drive Supplier Quality review rigor at Electronic suppliers to include active participation from GE Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Quality teams.

Own all aspects of supplier relationships that impact Cost of Quality to GE Appliances for suppliers of Electronic components. This includes initial selection and qualification of suppliers, continuous ownership and development throughout the life-cycle of the supplier and cross-functional support for all related programs.* Lead supplier and part qualifications for New Product Introduction programs ensuring on schedule delivery with perfect quality.* Deliver on Material Cost Takeout productivity goals by leading and supporting projects involving supplier moves and process, material or design changes.* Drive permanent resolution of manufacturing issues and consumer issues caused by supplier defects.* Develop plans to fix or exit problematic suppliers by implementing robust corrective actions or qualifying alternate suppliers.* Use Lean Six Sigma to implement projects improving customer satisfaction while eliminating waste.* Champion the use of quality tools, metrics and data to identify and drive quality improvement projects across all suppliers resulting in the overall improvement of supplier value to GE Appliances. * Team with Plastics purchasing team to develop and implement commodity and supplier strategies to deliver long-term excellence in cost, quality and delivery.
