My ability to quickly learn new concepts, new ideas, and build things has included items such as furniture, houses, computers, and developing a $300,000 craft brewing system for $22,000! My resourcefulness helped put Bad Tom Smith Brewery on the map. An idea that began with me creating recipes and brewing 40 gallons of beer a month out of my basement which has turned into a thriving business with 2 locations in Ohio.After serving in the U.S. Navy, I spent my early career working in hospitality management as a Certified Training Manager and selling real estate. In 2007, I made the decision to pivot into the manufacturing sector where I have had tremendous success over the last decade with MUBEA.What began as a temporary job as a Shipping Clerk, turned into a senior leadership role as a Plant Manager to lead a team of 195 associates at a struggling plant in Mexico. Within three months, my team and I turned a $450,000 monthly loss into profitability and exceeded our operating income by 20%.I was so successful in Mexico, that I was asked to return to the U.S. to replicate my success. I took over a plant in Kentucky that had 9 plant managers within 7 years. Within 6 months, I was able to turn a profit for the first time in over 5 years!During my time with MUBEA, I was trained as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and in APICS. Additionally, I obtained my IQS certification while driving lean process improvements.
