Few years before we created Digitalnauts, I was working in a national scientific laboratory (CNRS) in France where we covered fields such as Natural Language Processing, Human-Machine Interaction, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Fluid Mechanics, and Energetics. This experience gave me a deep understanding of immersive technology, before any commercial VR/AR/MR technologies and I had the chance to work on projects using the biggest CAVE environment in Europe. In 2016 I co-founded Digitalnauts with Mark Baxter, an old university friend as we share a common fascination for digital technologies, space and the outdoors. Our aim was (and remains) to make immersive technology accessible for businesses. During the early days of VR, when it was still seen as a sci-fi gimmick rather than a tool for real business impact, we focused on creating bespoke training content.
