Led turnaround of troubled financial situation. Transformed from a Continuous Education Facility having lost money from its opening in 1995 to a full Degree Granting Institution moving from 30 students to now over 300 permanent enrollees. Created and proposed a Five Year Development Plan with the Construction of 60 new dormitories, renovation of an old convalescent home to dormitories, additional parking lot, new teaching kitchens, bakery café, new campus store. Obtained all the necessary approval and use permit amendments and changes necessary to become a sustainable campus. The plan has been implemented and is now generating a surplus.

Took over the Sonoma Mission Inn for Crescent Real Estate Investment Trust in August 1997. Worked to develop the Master Plan to renovate and expand the Resort, adding a 40,000 sq. ft. Spa. Thanks to my community involvement, able to obtain necessary authorizations and building permits for the property, re-positioning this grand old resort into a world-class destination. Purchase of the Sonoma National Golf Course in 1999 enabled the creation of an up-scale private Club, further enhancing the value of the property and cash flow. Creation and start-up of this Club component was my major focus in 2000/2001.In October, 1997 recommended the purchase of the Ventana Inn & Spa in Big Sur. Property came under my responsibility. With the General Manager in place renovated, expanded and re-positioned the Resort without jeopardizing the exceptional reputation and ambiance of the property.

THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY, Paris, France; Orlando, Florida, General Manager, Contemporary Resort, 1994-1997. Directed first Disney resort hotel in Orlando, Florida, with 1,041 rooms and 100,000 square feet of meeting space. Championed the overhaul of entire infrastructure and obtained necessary capital funding to re-position this property. Directed concept changes for three hotel restaurants, led creation of the much-acclaimed California Grill (awarded by Esquire, Wine Spectator, Interior Design, local press). Served on task-force for the re-structuring/elimination of management layers for the entire Resort Division.Vice-President/Resorts Operation EurodisneySCA, 1993-1994. Managed entire complex of seven hotels, (5,777 rooms, 21 restaurants and bars), and Festival Disney entertainment complex (dinner show, six restaurants, two nightclubs, retail shops). Involved in the re-positioning of the Resort complex into three categories, (Deluxe, Moderate, Value) and implementation of a seasonal pricing strategy resulting in an eight-point occupancy increase. Served on Executive Team to establish and implement five-year re-structuring and operational plan.General Manager Disneyland Hotel, Eurodisney SCA, 1990-1993. Held accountability for construction phase as well as opening (planning, staffing and operational readiness) for the flagship hotel at Eurodisney with 500 rooms and four restaurants.
