Head Basketball Coach for Blazers Elite Coach Charles Young III has respectively served as the head coach of the Blazers Elite recreational, travel, and AAU basketball teams since 2009. He is a certified personal trainer and certified private fitness coach. He was first asked to volunteer as a recreational coach at Prestonwood Sports Assoc. in 2009 because of his knowledge and love for the game and since then aims to teach the kids K-12 the fundamentals of basketball while encouraging and developing the players while focusing on knowledge, skills, teamwork, defense, and sportsmanship. Charles Young III was born in Little Rock, Arkansas where he was a 4 year letterman, 2x All Conference Baseball player and 4 year Letterman in track and field; Went on to Arkansas State University to run track and field. His basketball playing experience comes by surprise only playing AAU basketball until his freshman year in high school and never playing in college; Coach Charles Young started playing professionally in the Los Angeles Summer League, which led to his first professional contract in 2013.
