At Guaxe, I worked as a field engineer on highway construction and renovation projects, with the following responsibilities:● Participated in the initial implementation of the MT326 highway in Cocalinho-MT, overseeing earthwork and base execution on a 36 km stretch of a $40 million project. Due to the region's flood-prone characteristics, some areas require up to 4 meters of fill from the natural ground level.● Led the rehabilitation of a 150 km section of the MT 170 highway between the junction of BR 364 and Brasnorte-MT, involving base repair using soil stabilisers, Double Surface Treatment execution, and pothole repair. We extensively used soil stabilisers due to the many critical sections that required base improvement with remaining pavement and added gravel. The project had a budget of $20 million.● Participated in renovating the Emanuel Pinheiro highway between Cuiabá and Chapada dos Guimarães in MT, which involved base repair, Bituminous Material Surface Course execution, and pothole repair. The 44 km stretch had a budget of $70 million, and we used a milling machine to remove compromised asphalt before applying BMSC on the rehabilitated sections. We used a cold soil stabiliser for the more critical areas to rehabilitate the base before applying pavement.● Monitored and prepared physical and financial progress reports for all projects. Coordinated with the department responsible for requesting equipment and materials and reported to the senior engineer in charge of the project based in Cuiabá. Acted as the main point of contact in the field, responsible for problem-solving and reporting to Cuiabá.
