Responsible for finding those with an interest in improving their Spend Management processes, understanding their requirements and matching those requirements up with the relevant solution in our portfolio.A 2.1 degree in Accounting & Finance has certainly helped my understanding of the finance-centric challenges potential clients may face, while the training I've received since arriving at Touchstone Spend Management has helped me understand the problems procurement professionals face, and how we can help address them. I have also supplemented my training by studying towards the CIPS Level 4 qualification.I look to develop new opportunities through holding first meetings and conference calls with those who approach Touchstone Spend Management; and develop new relationships with those who may not be aware of us through running webinars, seminars and cold-calling. Working as part of the estimating team, my primary responsibility was to analyse bespoke printing requests and calculate an accurate price based on the specification requested.Aside from performing the necessary calculations to provide an accurate estimate, my role also comprised a large level of customer interaction. As an estimator I was often the first point of contact for clients, and would seek to facilitate a sale by providing advice on more economical methods of printing. As part of an integrated sales and estimating department I also regularly liaised with the sales team on pricing levels, with the aim of reaching a price which will be both competitive and provide a significant level of profit for the company. The role also allowed me to gain a significant level of experience and in using the CRM Saleforce system to both monitor my level of performance and manage my workload.
