Mentoring Data Analysts, Software Developers and Data Scientists in the development of new skills to find value within extremely large data sets. These skills include, algorithm development, dataflow programming and advanced Spark analytics . Language fluency includes, Java, Scala, and Python.

Technologies taught include, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Impala, Hbase, Spark, Kafka, analytics and machine learning. Hadoop language fluency includes, Java, Scala, Python and Pig Latin. .

Developed an updated Computer Science curriculum to improve articulation and emulate the IEEE model curriculum. Developed a new Computers in Healthcare online course for the Health Information Technology program. Utilized extensive industry experience to develop and teach higher education courses in computer engineering, programming, data structures, FPGA application design, Android and agile development. Adapted and delivered a MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) SAR (synthetic aperture radar) course developed by Dr. Gregory L. Charvat. Assisted the college honors program by advising honors student projects and adapted course to meet honors program requirements.

Utilized industry experience to develop and teach higher education courses in network security, Microsoft Server, Windows 7, Linux, Microsoft Office and networking. Designed and implemented an innovative sever virtualization lab based on VMware ESXi software. Administered the workforce training programs and established and sustained partnerships with computer companies, service providers, regulatory agencies and related partners in the computer industry.

Applied professional knowledge and experience with web and other electronic media to promote and advance the strategic goals of Sterling College. Responsible for the development, testing and maintenance of web based applications utilizing Coldfusion, JavaScript, Tomcat, CSS, LDAP, Drupal and the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stack. Successfully developed and implemented the JICS web server based server interface to give students and faculty direct access to records and other college resources. Engineered and implemented a community access television station to convey Sterling College programming directly into homes and student housing. Responsible for a near perfect uptime record for the Web, DNS and other vital servers. Led the development team that successfully created a new college wide website utilizing Drupal CSM (content management system).

Coached and trained telecommunication engineers and retained computer engineers to support Nortel system integrators. Responsible for the development and delivery of original course material. Engineered and maintained the multi-million dollar support lab. Responsible for the educational liaison between Convergys Corporations and Nortel Networks.
