Software will include project’s status tracking, resource designation and management for all projects and reporting.

A military avionics connector with over 500 lines including filtering, transient voltage suppression, coax and feedthrough lines and PCB’s. Within a few months the project was updated, technically corrected and prototypes were successfully qualified.

Hewland Engineering Ltd is an internationally renowned a company specialising in bespoke transmissions, solely for motorsport applications. Customers included Formula1, F2, F3, LeMans Protoypes, GT, Champcar, DTM, GP2, GP3, Rallysport• Responsibility for all component designs, including gearbox housings, the selection of appropriate bearings, specification of shafts, gears, pumps and all components within a racing transmission.• Responsible for appropriate material selection and surface treatments as well as any documentation for the transmission.• Performed FEA, produced complex spreadsheets, and created all technical drawings, assembly drawings and final complete bills of materials.• Creation of 3D concept design for customer consideration• Customer liaison on all technical aspects of transmission design including track test and race support.• Working with all internal departments, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the product was delivered right first time and on time.• The motorsport engineering industry is a high pressure sector requiring confidence with all designs and drawings and needing excellent organisational skills to be confident that all projects, typically three or four concurrently, were within time, quality and budget constraints.Highlights• Lead designer for the Ferrari 458 LeMans GT2 transmission.
