• Evaluate information technology solutions to support and meet the Funds’ objectives based on research, testing and evaluation• Serve as Fund Office HIPAA Security Official• Perform needs assessment in relation to business requirements, designs solution, writes RFQ/RFP, perform vendor analysis and write recommendation for approval by the Board of Trustees• Direct implementation and execution of new/upgraded information systems via well-defined plans involving procedures, deadlines, and accountability• Write, evaluate and implement IT policies and procedures for maximum efficiency and in accordance with applicable guidelines• Structure, lead and develop IT staff for maximum effectiveness• Ensure users are provided professional, courteous, and timely support and service by entire department• Stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance• Protect confidentiality within the organization• Develop and maintain the Funds Disaster Recovery Plan, Business Continuity Plans, and select and conduct user training on an as-needed basis• Perform all supervisory responsibilities associated with the IT department including employee related issues• Forecast costs, equipment and personnel needs for projects and programs as required and related to IT operations• Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment• Stay abreast of the latest developments in technology and remains highly competent at all levels of information technology while striving for enhanced user productivity through implementation of new software technology where applicable, and the implementation of policies that more effectively utilize IT resources• Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and to end-users• Overall responsibility for the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software
