Under intense pressure and constantly-changing requirements during the height of the COVID pandemic, I single-handedly built "PERSEUS," a COVID-19 testing platform was used during the height of the COVID pandemic by over 15 major Disney Studio productions, the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials, AEG Worldwide's many entertainment venues, the Departments of Health of CA, WA, NM, AZ and GA, and entire public school systems of many US states.PERSEUS has saved medical staff thousands of hours per week by automating patient registration and intake, recording and labeling of COVID-19 tests, and COVID-19 status checks. It is integrated with multiple major medical diagnostic laboratories.

As CTO of Sustain Hawaii and its for-profit arm, Sustainable Ideation, I led the development of the "Healthies" app and loyalty program for purchasing local and/or organic food. The program involves health insurers such as Kaiser Permanente and HMSA, the employers they insure, their employees, local farmers, and consumers, in a virtuous cycle that funnels health insurance money to healthy eating, healthier people, reduced insurance claims, and a more sustainable local economy.

LeisureLink acquired my company, Vacation Rental Agent (see below), in 2013. During their due-diligence, LeisureLink found that I had built the same amount of functionality in 10 years as their team of 12 developers had in 6 years.I began my work at LeisureLink by integrating our API and reservation system with theirs. I then worked as a member of LeisureLink's development team thereafter.

Co-Owner, CTO, product architect and sole software developer of Hawaii's largest and most successful vacation rental marketing company until it was acquired by LeisureLink in October 2013. At time of acquisition, our entirely bootstrapped company had over $30 million in annual sales. Past travelers range from President Obama to Paris Hilton.I single-handedly designed and coded the mobile-friendly internal web applications and marketing websites, including the booking engine, sales automation, accounting system, property-management, sales performance analysis and financial reporting. I also created the PHP framework that runs it all.The public-facing marketing websites enable vacation rental owners and property managers to advertise their vacation homes, manage their calendars, issue online contracts, and accept payments by credit card.

Created the URReal Collaboration Engine, a multi-user, multi-tier application service for real-time collaboration, that could be customized for real-estate, travel, hospitality, distance learning and others. Featured on Macromedia’s website.Surfmonkey.com: Animated chat room based on above URReal CollaborationEngine.Imagine Media's MaximumPC Magazine: Developed a database-driven, self-publishing website that enabled its editors and contributors to add content directly from the web.Developed these games: DuPont-Nemours: game for “Kids Health” website. Designed the navigation engine and level-authoring module for “Obsidian,” a 5-CD-ROM adventure game which won rave reviews in CNN, Newsweek, PC Gamer, Gamepen, and others. Also programmed 3 puzzles within the game.
