Charlie Wolff is the founder and co-head of a 9-member investment advisory team within Goldman Sachs Personal Wealth, overseeing $3bn+ in assets (5/15/24). He serves as a trusted advisor for high-net-worth families, corporate executives, entrepreneurs and select non-profits. His team helps clients meet their goals through numerous channels, including asset allocation advice, manager selection & implementation, lending, financial planning, trust & advisory services, estate & tax planning consultation, philanthropic giving options and more. Charlie joined Goldman Sachs in 2010 in the Boston Private Wealth Management office, where he developed bespoke investment plans for families and nonprofit organizations. He moved to New York in 2012 to become Chief of Staff for the Head of New York Private Wealth Management. In this role, he helped lead strategic initiatives and oversee day-to-day PWM operations for the region as part of the regional management team. Following a promotion to Vice President in 2015, Charlie was awarded the George E. Doty scholarship for graduate studies. Upon completion of his MBA he began developing his own client practice. Charlie holds an MBA with Dean’s Honors from Columbia Business School in 2016. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where he earned a BS in Engineering Modified with Economics. During his time at Dartmouth, Charlie was awarded the Brieanna S. Weinstein Engineering Design Prize, the Phillip R. Jackson Engineering Sciences Award and an Academic Citation in Microeconomics. Charlie is also a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and remains active in the alumni community. Charlie holds a series 66, 65, 63, 3, and 7 license and is a registered agent for Life & Health Insurance.Charlie lives in Battery Park City with his wife, Ashley, and sons, Christopher & Oliver. He has previously served on Columbia University’s Family Business Circle and the board of Wingadoos, a financial literacy company dedicated to teaching children responsible fiscal habits.
