Working remotely to manage and support all the Caché databases for Quest Diagnostic internally developed systems supporting their laboratory and other medical systems.

Greater St. Louis Area

Provided support for Caché database and Epic software in an AIX environment. Performed software upgrades both RA packages and Major version updates. Diagnosed and resolving performance bottlenecks. Designed and installed database environment in production. Designed and built multi-system support and monitoring strategy using Epic’s Redalert and additional custom processes. Did the upgrade and setup of the Epic’s System Pulse environment. Created and implemented unique solutions for problems identified due to our large size implementation of Epic/Cache: creating pre-allocation process and a size management process using Korn shell scripting. Worked collaboratively in a team of system, storage and network administrator, application and environment coordinators and Epic support to the goal of maintaining and improve the Epic environment. Created training on techniques for using Epic tools to manage and understand the Caché Environment.
