About Charles Lattimer
Charles Lattimer is a seasoned technology entrepreneur and innovator, with over 25 years of experience. He founded his first technology start up in graduate school at Virginia Tech back in the 1990s, which was acquired in 2000. He has pioneered technologies and business models in financial technology, payment systems, loyalty programming, funding models, online learning, management and profitability simulations, financial wellness, and most recently leveraging AI to amplify human achievement. While on faculty at Virginia Tech, Charles founded and led Cooperative Leadership Institute (VTCLI) through the Provost’s office. VTCLI pioneered online leadership and management education using a SaaS business model. VTCLI also developed data and analytics platforms that enabled organizations to simulate profitability based on qualitative and qualitative metrics for management decisions. During his tenure at VTCLI, he also co-authored one of the top-selling college Management textbooks, “Management: A Balanced Approach for the 21st Century,” published by Wiley and Sons (2012), which forged the application of new methodologies in systems thinking and positive psychology to address a more dynamic workforce and opportunities for innovation in the marketplace.Charles holds lifetime memberships in Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi and is the faculty President Emeritus of Virginia Tech’s Phi Beta Kappa chapter.
