What can I do for you today? As an IT Support Professional, I can help you manage your computer hardware and software. I can help you achieve your technology goals, whether you are a single user with one system or in an office environment with multiple users. I can teach you how to get the most use out of your system and software. I can offer suggestions to improve your internet use and experience. I can help you understand how and why technology can and should be used properly. I can perform maintenance to keep the system clean and operating efficiently. I can provide proactive suggestions for timely upgrades and replacements. I can help you ensure your privacy and safety while online. Professional development is critical to me and where I have spent the majority of my time since leaving Coolray. The current thinking for individuals entering an IT career field is quite different from years past. It was the norm that someone took up one area and built all their skills and knowledge in that area resulting in what was described as an “I” shaped person. This individual typically knows one thing very well but has not applied those skills to other areas. I have adopted the newer concept known as a “T” shaped person. I have a broad range of knowledge and combined with transferrable skills from past careers, I can adapt and contribute to many collaborative functions. I look forward to the constant change in technology, and there will always be something new to learn. My goal is to match my knowledge, skills, and abilities with a need; could be through a relationship with customers or an employer that will be mutually beneficial. I am excited about the future possibilities and look for the answer to this question:“What is the best use of me?” - John Glenn
