I am currently a sophomore at the Daniels School of Business, pursuing a double major in Finance and Accounting, with a minor in Real Estate Finance. Most recently, I interned for a Property Development and Homebuilding group where I grew in my understanding of many processes such as local permitting and revising pro formas. The previous four summers, I was able to merge my passion for entrepreneurship with yard work by co-founding a Lawn Service business with a neighbor. Additionally, during my senior year of high school, I took on the role of Merchandise Accountant for a student-run cafe.As an associate to the CFO and President for my internship, I used my excel skills to budget and run cost comparisons for landscape projects, organized the sales systems, and communicated with the sales team to review marketing pieces. As a co-owner of the lawn service, I honed my skills in effective advertising while successfully balancing the demands of school and other interests. My experience in accounting for the cafe exposed me to the daily intricacies of accounting and highlighted the collaborative nature of the accounting department with other units to ensure the cafe's smooth and efficient operation. This journey has equipped me with valuable skills in communication, teamwork, basic accounting practices, and customer service.Motivated by my diverse background in both classes and practical work, I am eager to leverage my experiences as an intern at a Financial Advisory or Accounting firm. I am enthusiastic about gaining further insights and expanding my skill set in a professional setting.
