Responsible for corporate communications at Newport, a leading national retirement services firm that helps more than 1.5 million retirement plan participants reach their financial goals. Lead and inspire a multi-disciplined team of communications specialists, collaborate with executive leadership, and partner with third-party vendors and firms. Areas of focus include:Employee and Executive Communications: Develop strategies and implement tactics for employee communications that enhance engagement and further the company’s culture. Provide consultative support to executives for written communications, presentations, and meetings and industry events that help them express messages in ways that are relevant, credible and impactful. Mergers and Acquisitions: Build effective communication plans for merger/acquisition events. Create messaging that provides clarity and assurance to employees, and conveys strategy and positioning to key external stakeholders (clients, media, etc.). Brand Identity: Build, maintain and protect the company’s visual brand identity and corporate voice across all media, from traditional printed marketing materials to digital platforms (corporate website, social media, online advertisements, etc.). Corporate Website: Oversee development and maintenance of the corporate website, often the first and primary point of engagement for the company’s 1.5 million retirement plan participants. Implement methods to deliver impactful messages, easy navigation, and relevant content for external audiences. Strategic Marketing Endeavors: Support the company’s strategic marketing endeavors by creating complex campaigns across digital platforms (email, web, and social). Measure campaign effectiveness to help the company evolve and expand its presence in the retirement services marketplace.
