Active in community affairs and local government. A member of the Board of Directors for Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities. Helped establish 'Heading for Home' – a regional housing coalition addressing housing affordability and availability in the Monadnock Region. A member of the Board of Selectmen for the Town of Harrisville, active on both Zoning Board and Planning Board.

An elected position to the governing executive board of this small New England town. Involved in both long-term planning and weekly management of Town affairs.

Provided industry targeted marketing assistance and project management for utility energy conservation and DSM efforts, Promoted “Comprehensive” or integrated whole building design approaches. Coordinated the work of engineering firms under contract with National Grid, supplying Technical Assistance to determine cost-effective electrical energy savings measures during the design stages of large commercial and institutional projects. Technical advice to National Grid policy staff. Revised 1999 Prescriptive Lighting Program and managed the National Grid 1999 Commercial Lighting Demonstration Program. Collaborated with other in the development of the knowhow™ Series publications of the DesignLights™ Consortium.
