Hi, I'm Charles Merrill, a sophomore at Miami University (OH) studying Human Capital Management & Leadership with interests in pre-law and economics. I am currently searching for work opportunities for the Summer of 2025. During the summer of 2024, I was given a chance to be the Assistant Manager at Ottawa Park Golf Course in Toledo, Ohio. In the role, I was overseeing the league play that occurred nightly, pro shop including merchandise and memberships, while also working closely with the onboarding process for new hires. I am grateful to have been given this opportunity, one I did not take for granted.Campus Involvement here on campus has spoken to me as I have found clubs and groups that will be a part of me for the next few years. Groups such as Mission 34 and the Community Leadership Team for my residence hall have helped pave the way for my leadership skills as I am on the executive team for both. Other groups such as SEAL (Student Engagement Activity and Leadership) Involvement Mentor, and SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), and I also represent the Farmer School of Business in the Student Senate with the Associated Student Government, have all helped me shape my interests and priorities. Miami has given me an amazing opportunity to grow and make connections. From academics to the social aspect,I am pleased to be a RedHawk and continue to look to make strides for our campus ensuring every student gets the best possible time here at such a wonderful place.
