Designed, implemented and tested a set of Python scripts that automate billing for the Classified Network Services CloudBroker service. These scripts bill multiple customers from an aggregated Amazon Web Services (AWS) bill. The scripts download the bill to an EC2 instance at the end of each month using Amazon S3 sync, parse it using python and the pandas Big Data library, and provide output on a monthly and daily basis. The program provides output in CSV files for partners and store key values in an AWS RDS MariaDB database. This effort provides a substantial cost savings over billing by hand. It has had zero defects to date.Developed, hardened, productized, and handed off for deployment in multiple Secure Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) the HTTS Tool Servers product. This product provides four Red Hat Linux based virtual machines which provide 28 tools, written in Python, PHP, Perl, Bash, Java, C, and C++, to debug cores and trace backs from Cisco routers and switches in the SCIFs, which do not have normal network access. Using these tools, customer techs can determine the root cause of outages in seconds rather than manually over the course of hours or days.
