Designed, implemented and tested a set of Python scripts that automate billing for the Classified Network Services CloudBroker service. These scripts bill multiple customers from an aggregated Amazon Web Services (AWS) bill. The scripts download the bill to an EC2 instance at the end of each month using Amazon S3 sync, parse it using python and the pandas Big Data library, and provide output on a monthly and daily basis. The program provides output in CSV files for partners and store key values in an AWS RDS MariaDB database. This effort provides a substantial cost savings over billing by hand. It has had zero defects to date.Developed, hardened, productized, and handed off for deployment in multiple Secure Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) the HTTS Tool Servers product. This product provides four Red Hat Linux based virtual machines which provide 28 tools, written in Python, PHP, Perl, Bash, Java, C, and C++, to debug cores and trace backs from Cisco routers and switches in the SCIFs, which do not have normal network access. Using these tools, customer techs can determine the root cause of outages in seconds rather than manually over the course of hours or days.

Researched and designed a lighting plugin for the VectorWorks CAD program. Performed a variety of software and hardware freelance projects including web development, Linux server setup, hardening, administration, and training, hardware installation and upgrades.

Full life-cycle software development including back-end and database development on the Cisco Unified Presence Server and Android service, wireless, UI, and Framework development for the DX-650 line of video phones.

Developed embedded Linux application software to replace TimesTen database with an in-house database. Designed and implemented CORBA based feature to roll back incomplete Out of Service (OOS) upgrades to pre-upgrade state and restore customer equipment to a sane state.

Ported VxWorks-based TCP/IP test equipment to a Linux-based microkernel. Development included making kernel level changes to the Linux sockets infrastructure and state machine primitives.

Led and/or implemented full life-cycle development of provisioning features for Online Metro optical blades such as splitters and add-drop mutiplexers. Examples include leading design of a generic port object taking multiple protocol plug-ins for maximum flexibility and developing a provisioning framework for SONET Line, Path and VT Termination Points on the CN2600 LSA Multiservice Edge Aggregator.

Voice over IP (VoIP) development in SIP, MGCP, MEGACO, H.248, SDP, and H.323 Mapped legacy Multi-frequency and ISUP (SS7) trunks to a state machine model for conversion to VoIP. Created a design that reduced the amount of effort to code new trunks from 15k lines of code to approximately 150 lines of code. Developed Inca M10 Trunk Gateway Agent.
