As co-founder and CEO of Nemes Rush, Charlie is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s operations, including client relationships, practice management strategies and talent development.His comprehensive experience as a CPA helped reinforce the importance of sound financial planning and investment analysis. But in more than four decades as a financial professional, it’s been the care and sincerity with which Charlie builds and maintains close personal relationships with his multigenerational clients that has fueled his success. He is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of his clients, viewing himself as a kind of financial lifeguard, protecting his clients from the unpredictable seas of life while guiding them safely ashore.Charlie also feels a deep responsibility to his community and the youth of Detroit. He has taught business classes in the Detroit Public Schools and played Santa Claus for underprivileged elementary school children for over 20 years. Throughout the years Charlie coached basketball, baseball, football, soccer and lacrosse.Prior to co-founding Nemes Rush, Charlie served as a Senior Vice President of Investments for 13 years with Raymond James and 21 years with Merrill Lynch. Charlie is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting. Charlie is a longtime resident of Novi, where he lives with his wife, Kathleen. Charlie and Kathleen have three sons, including Nemes Rush partner Chris Nemes. He is also a frequent speaker and author of numerous articles for various publications.
