Through the Tampa Bay Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO), we seek to further the exchange of medical information between Doctors, Hospitals,and Patients in a Secure, yet easily accessible way. The Tampa Bay RHIO is a non-profit entity that serves the entire Tampa Bay region.

As the CIO of Florida's largest Orthopaedic Physician organization, I am responsible for the information technology and computer systems that support enterprise strategic goals, as well as their impact on staff, physicians, and patients. OrthoCare Florida currently has 54 Orthopaedic Surgeons with 18 offices on the west coast of Florida, and is expanding statewide.

In the medical vertical, it's not about technology, it's about how technology can be utilized to provide better healthcare, and ultimately, to save lives. In this position, I have the ability to merge technology with conceptual workflows to create a solution. I also have the ability to fill the CIO/CTO of our customers, providing them representation in activities like RHIO's, MGMA, AHCA, HIMSS, and other professional organizations. With a full inderstanding of the medical practice, I am able to ensure that they understand Incentive programs, deadlines, and challenges they face as they move toward a digital practice.

I owned and managed the #1 Web based support forum for the Shoretel product line.

I specialized in the medical vertical, assisting with EHR selection, implementation, and PACS integration. I also provided guidance on existing and emerging requirements such as HIPAA, PQRI, E-Prescribing, and ARRA – HiTECH legislation. I provided an end to end solution.I have overseen the implementation of multi-site VoIP (voice over IP) PBX systems for 30 customers, totaling 64 sites and over 2,300 handsets. I maintained a 96.7% customer satisfaction rating as recorded by Shoretel Inc. I was presented an award for “World-Class” customer satisfaction from Shoretel.

I provided 3rd level tech support for document imaging and storage technologies, including Operating System, Network, Print, and Scan support.
