He leads complex investigations arising from litigation, fraud and other types of white collar crime, due diligence, background inquiries, sensitive internal corporate matters, and international issues.He began his investigative career specializing in opposition research for a political consulting company and has worked as a staff member for U.S. Senate and presidential campaigns. He played a critical role in the creation of the Detective Information Network, a company that was among the first to use the Internet for investigative purposes. He has also given presentations to the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) and to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).Charles Pinck has served for 22 years as president of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) Society of Falls Church, VA, a nonprofit organization that celebrates the historic accomplishments of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the World War II forerunner to the Central Intelligence Agency and U.S. Special Operations Command. The OSS Society educates the American public about the importance of strategic intelligence and special operations to U.S. national security. As its president, Charles Pinck led successful efforts to pass the OSS Congressional Gold Medal Act; to have the OSS and first CIA headquarters added to the National Register of Historic Places; and to install a memorial at Arlington National Cemetery honoring OSS personnel killed and missing in action. Gen. Jim Mattis described The OSS Society as a “national treasure.”Since 2004, he has directed the William J. Donovan Award Dinner, the preeminent annual gathering of the U.S. intelligence and special operations communities, which Washington Post columnist David Ignatius said is “a wonderful celebration of our country at its best.”He conceived of the idea for the National Museum of Intelligence and Special Operations and has led its planning for The OSS Society.
