I am a college graduate from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s degree in computer Science. I enjoy web application development but am willing to explore all the aspects of a of the the development field. My best trait is my willingness to learn. I strive to understand the product to increase the quality of the end result. I am a very hardworking individual and eager to learn about anything and everything.EXPERIENCESGrowing up, I had a few jobs. They were they typical high school/post high school jobs. Waiter, amusement attendant, and IT tech assistant. These jobs helped me in socialization towards improving the other persons experience. Much like a developer towards a product owner or stakeholder. It gave me empathy and to try to explain my thoughts through a way that they can understand. So far, I've found this to be another one of my great traits.During college, I started doing some contract work for a local marketing firm. I mainly worked on just bug fixes for some JavaScript. Most of this work was done for front end features on Wordpress sites but this was a large step for me. This was the first time I stepped into the real world of a developer. I was in the office every day conversing with the two other developers and a handful of designers. I loved it.After graduation, I moved to a slightly larger city and found a job at a financial institution. This was were I started to learn more about back end development. I worked on a project that was assisting my companies financial advisors in their normal day to day routine. It helped them land more clients which in turn helped the company expand to reach more advisors and clients. This company was acquired in Jan 2021.Thanks for reading my professional life story.
