As a member of our litigation team, I handle commercial contracts, commercial insurance litigation, product litigation, federal civil rights actions, municipal matters, and contract disputes.I personally draft pleadings, discovery, and contracts, and handle all phases of litigation including pre-suit matters and appeals. In doing so, I simultaneously provide comprehensive reports to the proper parties and advise them on the best path forward. My role also includes navigating complex topic areas, mitigating client risk, and effectively demonstrating competency in new subject areas.

I have had the privilege and experience of being first chair legal counsel for multiple trials in the state of Wisconsin, as I have garnered the trust of the partners of my firm through hard work and good work product. My experiences in the courtroom have strengthened my foundation in the rules of evidence and civil procedure, and reinforced the importance of having actual trial experience.I have also had significant first-chair experience handling contract negotiations, conducting factual investigations, drafting pleadings, participating in mediation, and conducting depositions. In the midst of these tasks I also draft coverage evaluations, strategies, and litigation plans that are clear and digestible for my clients. My diverse set of experiences have enabled me to earn the role of Co-Chair of our nationwide of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. I worked on multiple teams that handled matters pertaining to federal civil rights, contract negotiations, personal injury, municipal, asbestos, and maritime/admiralty law. My experiences with those teams helped me accelerate my familiarity with several different aspects of the law and required me to hone my skills pertaining to organization and client reporting.What I am looking forward to tackling: I have been taking every opportunity presented to augment my understanding of privacy law, specifically how different international privacy schemes and regulations affect how entities process and store data. I started off trying to determine how these regulations affect tech and social media companies and their policies. What I have found is that no answers remain static; companies will have to pivot and adjust. Communicating these ever-changing needs and the rationale behind the changes is what makes this field so interesting. I am in the process of studying for the CIPP/E certification exam.
