Working freelance with a variety of clients to manage digital learning development projects and produce e-learning content. o Create a learning and support programme for administrators of Workday Learning System. Assembling and rationalising existing documentation.  Collecting feedback from SMEs and users on improvements to procedures. Implementing feedback and editing procedures. Design eLearning template that is easy to use and quick to access. Building a new eLearning product using Articulate Storyline. Test the eLearning product. Training the trainers on the new system.

Instructional design and development of an entry level IT, Cyber Security and Networks course for a naval college. The role involve developing a learning scalar from a TNA, finding valid reference sources and developing course material. This was an especially challenging course because learners are IELTS 4.5 English language capable.

Development of TNA and Instructional Design for a Naval College. The work invloves developing task scalars, identifying and designing training media, cost estimation, curriculum and lesson design and timetabling.

Reporting to the Director of Learning and Wellbeing at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. Responsible for managing a team of learning technologists supporting the development of digital learning resources and capabilities across the Camden and Hawkshead campuses.

3-month interim contract managing a team of course designers, video producers and learning technologists to develop MOOCs, Masters level online programmes, schools courses and staff training. Finishes 28 March 2018.

ELearning designer and developer using Storyline. Creating commercial training courseware for BBC, Carnival, Royal Navy, VShips and many others.

Producing Flash-based learning materials for compliance training. I have produced training materials for both the public and private sector that are used by thousands of employees, with positive feedback. I also run the learning support and LMS for a large defence company, giving me excellent experience of what is necessary to make learning materials achieve their objectives.

The position involved designing and building a new website to attract new students, and the production of various communications such as brochures, ads and email campaigns. During my time there, the business school achieved a 50% increase in student numbers.

This involved producing design briefs with clients and then developing HTML-based e- learning materials for them. I was involved in producing a wide variety of training for public and private sector organisations. During this time I developed an efficient way of working with subject experts, and gained experience of producing in HTML.

Liaising with clients in hospitality and nursing to produce HTML learning materials and the learning support to go with them. During my time with them I learned a lot about managing an online learning programme, and what learning materials need to do to achieve learning objectives.

Designer and team leader for the production of an online MBA programme. In 1992, this was probably the first online MBA produced. I developed the design of the programme, and managed a team of writers and academics to produce the course content. During this time I was trained in instructional design and learned how to take raw content and convert it into something that works in distance learning format.

These were Manchester Business School, University of Glasgow and University of New South Wales. Most of my teaching experience during this time was with MBAs and executive students, and I learned what is needed to engage an adult learner with a need for tangible results to their learning. I also undertook some distance learning authoring and produced a distance learning course in Marketing for the University of New South Wales.
