The Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) is a state-led environmental coalition working to create innovative solutions and best management practices. ITRC produces documents and training that broaden and deepen technical knowledge and expedite quality regulatory decision making while protecting human health and the environment.

• Promoted in 2018 while maintaining all responsibilities from previous roles. Additional responsibilities and accomplishments include:
• Assisting the Executive Director in managing operations and developing policies and procedures for Board of Directors, staff, and ASTSWMO membership and Subcommittees.
• Seamlessly transitioned to a remote work environment by researching and implementing new technologies and developing and implementing new collaborative tools for staff and external partners. This has led to a 300%.
• Established new ASTSWMO Contaminants of Emerging Concern and PFAS Team and mentored junior staff to manage its activities.

Washington DC-Baltimore Area

• Manages $2 million+ annual budgets and cooperative agreements and contracts with federal government agencies, nonprofit associations, and private industry.
• Lead staff and teams in adjusting to technical advancements for improving project management, meetings, and day-to-day tasks by researching new tools, providing education and training, and implementing throughout the.
• Supervises the development of proposals, budgets, and work plans by staff for several financial agreements to ensure compliance with federal OMB, EPA, and DOD grant and contract regulations.
• Provides regular briefings and facilitates technical trainings and environmental policy discussions for government and industry leaders at national and regional in-person and virtual / webinar events.
• Oversees the ASTSWMO Tanks Subcommittee and its research, project development, and training activities for state programs responsible for regulating underground storage tanks | gas stations | RCRA Subtitle I.

Washington DC-Baltimore Area

• Established new funding sources and partnerships with Department of Defense (DOD) and nonprofit partners to support the states' participation in national policy-making.
• Manages cooperative agreements and contracts with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and DOD.
• Oversees the ASTSWMO Federal Facilities Subcommittee and its research, project development, and training activities for state CERCLA / Superfund / Federal Facilities regulatory oversight programs.
• Conducts research and drafts policy and regulatory issue papers for government officials.

Washington DC-Baltimore Area

• Developed and implemented data collection strategies and internal document control system that resulted in limiting our client's costs.
• Performed project management tasks including preparation of reports and cost proposals for clients, delegating tasks to staff members, and presenting investigation findings to clients.
• Conducted environmental investigations that included researching and analyzing environmental data, due diligence and legal analysis, and preparing reports for government clients.
• Conducted data collection and research activities at several federal, state, and local government offices, and historical document repositories in the U.S. and Canada.
• Conducted interviews with former site employees, government leaders, and community members to compile accurate operational histories, and identify public concerns regarding environmental issues.
