As CTO, I’ve led a team of 3-5 developers using JavaScript, ReactJS/React-Native, Swift, AWS services, Dart/Flutter, and others. SOS Apps software requires real-time communication, so I am experienced in using asynchronous API calls and updating interfaces to provide new information quickly and elegantly. Though code is my specialty, I was also the primary UX designer for our apps.Before Betterment Labs, I worked in operations at Google Express and Cargomatic. I would love to help create systems that better enable such delivery services. I’m passionate about user experience: if it doesn’t work well, customers won’t use it! I utilize SQL, SQLite, AWS RDS/DynamoDB/Lambda/More, Python, Node.js as CTO and head database/backend developer for:♦ Literacy Loom expert system to guide users writing early literacy curricula for any language, which requires analyzing language documents into databases that are then used to suggest sound sequences & word use♦ SOS Apps safety incident management systems, requiring real-time database updates & access for high priority (emergency) messagingA few highlights from my prior self-taught coding background:♦ At Space Dynamic Laboratory (SDL), I used MatLab, FORTRAN, and Python to help write the code to verify and calibrate data from the CrIS climatology sensor flown as a NASA payload on the NPP Suomi satellite. This involved managing and working with large datasets in a variety of formats.♦ I also proposed and led development of a GUI front-end to the data management tool, which was later adopted throughout the NASA-led project.♦ At tech startups Din.co and Cargomatic, I advised database & tool design♦ I created tools to input stock data from various sources into spreadsheets to analyze trading models and strategies for Portfolio Wealth Advisors
