I started in a small, 5 attorney office, and worked my way to shareholder (i.e. partner) of an 1800 attorney firm, adapting all the while to the clientele, the personnel, and the social and political differences of each step along the way. The past decade with Greenberg Traurig was spent primarily representing international retailers in developing and opening new stores, and otherwise solving their real estate problems. I have since crossed over the table to join NJ-based developer Edgewood Properties as their leasing counsel.Specialties: From term sheets to store openings, I prepare and negotiate all documents necessary to get businesses open for business in a new or revitalized retail development, representing either landlord or tenant, coordinating with general counsel, construction departments, third-party engineers, store operations, regional business managers, and land-use counsel. I also have extensive experience both divesting real estate, and acquiring it, through bankruptcy.
