In this role I work alongside senior leadership and end users alike to design and develop functional, analytical, and workflow based QlikView applications. I have served as a team leader of a group of developers to deliver high quality tools to users across all areas of our healthcare network. Our process follows the SDLC with Agile methods to get from start to finish in an efficient manner. I utilize SQL development and SSIS ETL packages to support creation of Qlik apps, NPrinting reports, Crystal reports, data extracts and purpose driven data marts. I mainly work with data from the Epic Electronic Health Record system (EHR), and I am certified in the EpicCare Ambulatory, Professional Billing and Hospital Billing Data Models as well as their Radar dashboarding tool. I have worked on numerous data discovery applications pertaining to Hospital and Professional Billing, Cash Recovery, Capacity Management and more from the ground up. In the past I had served as admin to our QlikView web and distribution servers, managed upgrades and patches and ensured reliable availability to end users. As part of my role, I also manage and maintain user access licenses, application distribution and role-based security to ensure our data is secure but accessible to stakeholders. Strong interaction with stakeholders and leaders in the organization are key to delivering high quality, useful and data centric tools to help improve performance in all areas. I enjoy the challenges that come from designing and creating brand new apps and dashboards, learning about the various data interactions that pertain to healthcare and passing of knowledge to fellow co-workers. This role is always presenting something new with unique challenges and great rewards; I can gauge my success when my organization benefits from a new and effective tool that we have created.
