I retired in December 2011 and since then have enjoyed keeping in touch with former colleagues and clients through a variety of social media and over the occasional lunch. In February 2015 I relocated from London to Edinburgh For the last fifteen years of my career I ran my own training and consultancy business, first in commerce and subsequently in the charity sector. Before that I spent seven years in mortgage finance in a number of operational and support roles at board director level, and before that led the marketing and delivery of management training at a well known international management centre. Early career spent in marketing services and sales management, principally in fast moving consumer goods, cosmetics and airlines.As a consultant I have worked in the UK and internationally for a range of blue chip clients including Allied Irish Banks, Barclays, Experian, Fortnum and Mason,The London Stock Exchange, and the YMCA, in Advertising for British Airways, Max Factor, Cadbury and Tanqueray Gordon, and in Management Education for Unilever, Campbell’s Foods, Kelloggs, Marks and Spencer and PA Consulting Group among many others. The variety of my career has given me the privilege of having met many exceptionally talented people from all over the world, many of whom are kind enough to remember me several years on!
