As a salon apprentice I am responsible for a number of duties to ensure the smooth running of the salon while at the same time training to be a barber. My role is not only to give great hair cuts, but ensure that each and every customer has a great experience from booking to styling. Outside of barbering, I work across two salons, where my duties include reception work, checking in customers and taking care of them while in the salon. As part of my apprenticeship I attend collage studying NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing. This role has taught me the the importance of understanding wider business operations beyond your specific role
