For over 50 years, IFTF has helped organizations and communities think systematically about the future in order to make better choices today. My role is to help IFTF increase its social impact by expanding the use of foresight and futures thinking tools among philanthropic and civic sector organizations so that together, we are able to create a more equitable and sustainable world.

Launched first democratic charity for youth to foster truly youth-led actions to effect change. Created unique extracurricular program that engages high school students in bottom-up democratic process to design social change projects. Piloted program in high schools both in the U.S. and Canada.Created highly-visual toolkits to help social entrepreneurs learn and apply best practices of social and business sectors. The Creative Activist Toolkits have been viewed and downloaded more than 31,000 times and are being used by Ashoka, World Bank, other NGOs and various universities around the world.Launched a new framework and website, SOCIAL Creatives, to help social entrepreneurs learn and apply six key best practices. Framework will form basis of a new book on social entrepreneurship and a new type of social innovation competition being piloted at top universities in India and the U.S.Lectures and facilitates innovation and social entrepreneurship workshops with original curriculum in Canada, U.S., Serbia, India and Taiwan.

Managed and executed Fossil Foundation's global grantmaking to support innovations that empower underserved youth. Aligned portfolio with key innovation trends to advance field. Supported grantees on their social innovation journey.Collaborating across sectors, launched global initiative with Accenture and Pearson to scale market solutions that address future of work challenges (such as AI, automation).Added 12 new ventures to portfolio, increasing foundation’s global reach and impact.

Launched national strategy to engage Canadian universities in providing education and support for changemaking and social entrepreneurship. Designed and led a national series of showcases, changemaker challenges, and a national media campaign to re-imagine universities as hubs of social innovation.Laid groundwork for 7 universities to receive official designation as Changemaker Campuses.

Launched first four global campaigns for Youth Venture, the worldʼs largest network of youth-led social ventures. Mentored and supported 100 youth in starting social ventures addressing social and environmental issues.Created curricula for social innovation, used by Ashoka and partners, including World Bank and USAID.Shot and produced stories of young changemakers in Thailand for CNN and co-produced MTV special on youth-led ventures combatting climate change, significantly increasing Ashoka’s global network of young changemakers.

As on-air reporter for CNN Newsroom, produced special educational series targeting high school students. The most ambitious series involved traveling 100 days by ship to 10 countries to produce a 10-part weekly series on critical issues at the turn of the millennium. The series culminated in a one-hour highly-rated special on Christmas Day. Other topics included Black History Month, Young Music Prodigies, Asian Americans and Biodiversity.As producer for primetime newsmagazine, CNN NewsStand, produced long-form business stories for mass audience, focusing on Fortune 500 companies. Interviewed CEOs of Kodak and Dell as well as up and coming entrepreneurs. Produced special coverage of the Fortune Global Forum, the leading global conference of multinational CEOs, in Shanghai, China.
