Transit Planner
CurrentManages the planning, record-keeping, and programming of fixed route bus stop and route pattern data, both in RouteMatch software and other formats utilized by staff, and coordinates changes with various departmental staff.Develops timely planning of temporary fixed route changes related to roadwork or specials events/parades, and coordinates information with appropriate departmental staff.Prepares documents for public and Federal review, to ensure transit system compliance for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Title VI and Limited English Proficiency programs.Monitors and reports on performance metrics and measurements.Determines site selection, design, purchase and installation of passenger shelters. Serves as transit system representative of the publicly-represented Local Advisory Council, tasked with identifying and analyzing internal and external transit issues affecting the public and developing solutions to address gaps. Also, conducts additional community outreach forums for discussion of transit-related issues.Chairperson of the Operations Committee, consisting of bus operator and customer service representatives tasked with identifying and analyzing internal and external service and policy issues affecting the transit system, and developing solutions to address gaps.Serves as member of the Management Committee, the leadership team tasked with identification, prioritization and assignment of all transit-related projects and policies. Serving additionally as committee Secretary, responsible for coordinating agenda items and associated background data and information, and minute-recording duties.
